Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra with Robert Max conductor and Charles Owen piano. Nicolai, Schumann and Brahms

SUNDAY 20th

Grand Opera Night.  The London International Orchestra with Toby Purser conductor, Hye-Youn Lee soprano, Victoria Simmonds mezzo-soprano, Jesús León tenor and Changhan Lim baritone.  Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini and Bizet

MONDAY 21st

The Endellion String Quartet.  Ralph de Souza violin, Andrew Watkinson violin, Garfield Jackson viola and David Waterman cello.  Haydn, Britten, Beethoven

 

TUESDAY 22nd

John Lill Piano Recital.  Haydn, Chopin, Brahms and Handel

WEDNESDAY 23rd

Music from the Silver Screen.  The BBC Elstree Concert Band with Andrew Morley musical director.  Music from Indiana Jones, Psycho, Pirates of the Caribbean, A Chorus Line, 633 Squadron and Les Parapluies de Cherbourg.

THURSDAY 24th

Sir Willard White Song Recital.  Sir Willard White bass-baritone with Neal Thornton piano and Richard Bolton guitar.  Spirituals and folk songs from Robeson’s repertoire and the songs of Hoagy Carmichael, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gershwin, Jerome Kern and Roger Quilter

 

FRIDAY 25th

Choral Concert.   The Choir of Clare College Cambridge with Timothy Brown conductor, Maud Millar soprano, Grace Durham mezzo-soprano, Dominic Sedgwick baritone, Ashok Gupta organ and piano and Daniel Pailthorpe flute.  Duruflé, Franck, Fauré, Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Poulenc and Debussy

SATURDAY 26th

Jazz Night with Clare Teal and her Band

SUNDAY 27th

Last Night of the Proms: Southbank Sinfonia with Simon Over conductor, Robert Cohen cello and John Cunningham bass-baritone.  Schumann, the songs of Jerome Kern and Stanford plus our traditional Last Night items.

Heritage guided walks around Hampstead Garden Suburb, 10.30am – 19th, 23rd and 25th June.  

Walks on 19th and 23rd June start from Suburb Gallery at Fellowship House, 136a Willifield Way, NW11 6YD. 

Walk on 25th June starts from the entrance to the café in Golders Hill Park.

Guided walk around Henrietta Barnett’s East End, 10.30am – 20th June.  Starts from Toynbee Hall 28 Commercial St, E1 6LS.
