An architectural historian, BBC TV presenter and author, Dan Cruickshank was a founder member of Save Britain’s Heritage and campaigned to save Georgian houses in East London from demolition – sometimes squatting in the properties. He is an active member of the Georgian Group and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects. His television programmes include the recent BBC series, The Country House Revealed. He lives in a Georgian house in which many of the original features have been preserved. The paperback of SPITALFIELDS is published in June, and he will be in conversation with Proms Sue MacGregor, CBE.
Sue MacGregor joined the BBC as a producer and reporter on The World at One. She became most well-known as the voice of Woman's Hour and the only female interviewer at the time on the Today programme. She is the host and presenter of the Radio 4 programme The Reunion. She is also a patron of Proms at St Jude's.
