Compose a Fanfare!
2024 Fantastic Fanfare Competition
We are proud to celebrate the 7th year of our Fabulous Fanfare Competition for young musicians, encoring young composers. This year's completion will be divided into three age brackets, introducing for the first time a competition for primary aged pupils aged 8 to 11.
-
Ages 8 to 11
-
Ages 11 to 14
-
Ages 15 to18
Younger pupils will be encouraged to ask for guidance and support from their teachers. All entries will be scored either for conventional instruments or for electronic production.
Details of the competition have been sent to schools in Northwest London and nearby, but entries are very welcome from young people anywhere, so please share with any schools or young people who may be interested. Proms will help the winner/s with the final recording. The fanfares will be judged by Proms at St Jude’s and professional musicians, and we hope that the winning fanfare/s will be played during Proms 2024.
