Become a Friend for 2021
We are enormously grateful to the generosity of our Friends whose responses to our initial cancellation appeal and then to Proms at Home enabled us not only to survive in 2020, but also to donate £30,000 to our two charities.
Friends receive priority booking and, in a normal year, other benefits depending on the level of support.
In 2021 we will be holding a socially distanced festival. We know how much the community wants to come together for live events and this, together with providing performance opportunities for musicians is our focus. We also know that many people will want the reassurance that we are doing all we can to be Covid secure. Keeping everyone safe, secure and relaxed requires a significant reduction in seating, as well as additional cleaning and stewarding in all public areas - sadly, this means that we are unable to offer hospitality this year.
However, all Friends' memberships will be eligible in full for Gift Aid. We expect priority booking to be even more important than usual, as tickets will be very limited and in demand for all events, including LitFest and Heritage Walks.
Priority booking dates (please note the later date of ticket sales and the reduced priority periods):
Gold from Monday 24 May for 48 hours
Silver from Wednesday 26 May for 48 hours
Bronze from Friday 28 May for 24 hours
Public booking opens on 29 May.
Before booking, please read our Plan Your Visit page so that you are aware of the arrangements we are making to keep our audiences, performers and volunteers safe and what your role in this will be when you arrive at the venue.
To join at your chosen level, please click below. You can now auto-renew too, so that you don't have to apply every year.
Couples count as single membership.
* We hope to offer some additional walks and possibly a few visits or online events later in the year.
