Last year Sir Alan Hollinghurst was awarded the prestigious David Cohen Prize for Literature, in recognition of his entire body of work. He is also the recipient of the Somerset Maugham Award, the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Fiction and the Booker Prize. Sir Alan’s stylish prose, interwoven plots and evocation of different historical periods have made him one of our most highly regarded and respected authors. We are delighted that, in memory of our late Patron David Cohen, Sir Alan will join us to discuss his lifetime in literature with distinguished author and Chair of judges for the David Cohen Prize for Literature, Dame Hermione Lee.
