Readings from The Wolf Hall trilogy with music from the TV series conducted by the composer
Dame Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall trilogy, which conjured up the power and intrigue of Henry VIII’s court in the 16th century, is vividly brought to life in this compelling blend of music, narration and imagery. Debbie Wiseman, Classic FM’s Composer in Residence and one of Britain’s most sought-after composers, conducts her evocative score from the acclaimed BBC series. BAFTA-nominated actor Anton Lesser, unforgettable as Thomas More, reads from Mantel’s text, while the exquisite voice of Grace Davidson, a British soprano who specialises in the performance and recording of Baroque music and who grew up in Hampstead Garden Suburb, is supported by the Locrian Ensemble.
